MOLDED PFA EXPANSION JOINTS
The Proco PFA and PTFE molded expansion joints are designed for tough demanding corrosive chemical applications as found in: High pH or Low pH Industrial Process Piping Applications and Acid Plant Piping Systems in Chemical/Petrochemical, Power Generating Plants, Pulp & Paper Mills and Steel Mills. In addition, the Series 440 expansion joint products are found in High Tech piping applications such as semiconductor plants. The Series 440 molded expansion joint products are manufactured in 2, 3 & 5 convolutions (Style 442, Style 443 and Style 445) and are available in PFA and PTFE materials.
Additional Features and Benefits:
Style 442, known as a "coupling", has two convolutions and is used for minimal movements and higher temperature/pressure ratings and short
Style 443, known as an "expansion joint", has three convolutions and is used for easy movement and ease of system installation.
Style 445, know as a "bellows", has five convolutions and is used for maximum movements, lower temperature/pressure ratings, vibrations and large face to face openings.
The Proco Series 440 PFA molded expansion joints are commonly used for site glasses to view process flow in piping systems.
The expansion joint ductile iron flanges are protected from wetted surfaces by the vanstoned TeflonŽ flange element thus eliminating costs of expensive alloy flange alternatives.
Limit Rods are provided with each Series 440 product to ensure expansion joint element is not over extended during operation.
